Inclusions:

  • Pick up (only as a group, individuals as extra at actual cost) from the airport, drop at the airport at Leh, in a suitable transport locally hired at Leh
  • Veg food/ egg preparations on board Taurus
  • Taurus as transport for the limited excursions as per the itinerary
  • Stay onboard Taurus as per the accommodation shown in photos, sometimes it could be tents on ground.
  • Food is either prepared with fresh veggies or the best canned veggies (when time and availability is the constraint).
  • Hired transport for Nubra overnight trip
  • Stay at Nubra Valley (as per the plan offered by the stay)
  • Hired transport for the day excursion to Pangong Lake.
  • Excursion to Diskit Monastery and Hundar (Nubra Valley)

  • Oxygen Cylinder onboard Taurus, its made in USA, the best in the Indian market. No one will provide you this as a part of the package. If you hire it in Leh the cylinder will cost around Rs 3500 per day. We wont charge you this hiring fee. But if consumed then we will charge the costs incurred for refilling.

Itinerary


Day 1 - Arrive at Leh Airport - Acclimatization Day
Arrive at Leh airport, landing through a valley of bare mountains, offering the most beautiful views; ensure you get buckled in a window seat. Our representative shall receive you at the airport and escort you to check-in onboard Taurus. Under medical advice which is an SOP for the prevention of high altitude sickness, you must rest to acclimatize for 24 hours. Taurus and its crew shall offer you a place in the best setting next to the Indus River with the best air to breathe - a priceless experience. It’s the best way to relax and acclimates in the entire region. Enjoy the kitchen of Taurus, in the beautiful “setting of silence”; it treats you beyond the expectations of nomadic life with basic comforts to make sure its 5 Star outdoor life.

Day 2 - Thiksey Village and Shanti Stupa
After morning tea and breakfast, board a hired transport to visit Thiksey Monastery, 45 kms from Leh. It’s a twelve story complex, located on top of a hill in Thiksey Village. It is noted for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa. It offers a commanding panoramic view of a wonderful landscape, which is a photographer’s delight. We shall also visit Shanti Stupa. Night onboard Taurus.

Day 3 - Alchi Village
Taurus revs to take you on superb mountain road along the famous river Indus with the mesmerizing views of gigantic mountains. We arrive at Alchi village to visit the ancient Alchi Gompa. Before that, stop at Saspol to see its hidden treasures. Camp overnight, onboard Taurus.

Day 4 - Batalik sector
After breakfast onboard, Taurus sets bearing to Batalik sector, once the hotbed of Kargil War. You will enjoy quieter roads and fewer tourists on the way to Dah Hanu, all along the river and small villages – these two villages of the Brokpa of the Ladakh are the ones amongst few others where tourists are permitted to visit, about 168 km northwest of Leh. They have an Indo-European appearance in contrast to the predominant Tibeto-Mongol inhabitants of most of Ladakh. The main attraction is the life of Brokpa community. This community believes that the last race of Aryans and those people preserved their racial purity. They offer sacrifices to the gods and are fond of music, wine, jewelry and flowers. Their costumes are adorned with colourful flowers and jewelry. Camp in the lap of nature with beautiful view of gigantic mountains and if circumstances allow we will camp on the banks of a stream, we bet camping can’t be better than this. Night onboard Taurus.

This region produces probably the best apricots; if you are lucky to witness the ripe ones then you pluck and eat fresh! Isn’t that going to be an amazing experience for you? This is the area for a bit longer duration to enjoy life to rejuvenate in real.

Day 5 - Dah Village
After leisurely breakfast, your transport will take you to visit Dah village which has greenery and known for the Aryans. Walk around the village and meet and greet the Aryans. Camp onboard Taurus at the same place of previous night.

Day 6 - Drive back to Leh
After early breakfast, drive Taurus to Leh. Night in a guest house/ hotel, relax and for a different experience.

Day 7 - Nubra Valley
After early breakfast, set out in a hired transport to Nubra Valley, on the way stop at Khardungla to enjoy the highest motorable pass to click photos to capture the memories. Night in a homestay/guest house/hotel.

Day 8 - Dzongu Exploration 
Visit Diskit Monastery and Hunder - referred to as 'the desert in the Sky' the mesmerizing village of Hunder is perched as an oasis surrounded by cold desert and stark Himalayas in Nubra Valley in Ladakh. The village shot to fame after some of the scenes of a song sequence of super hit Bollywood movie of Maniratnam's Dil Se featuring Manisha Koirala and Shahrukh Khan was shot here. Drive back to Leh. Overnight in camp onboard Taurus.  

Day 9 – Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast, drive in a hired transport to famous Pangong Lake for day trip. It shot to fame after the famous film “3 Idiots”. Back to Leh for night stay onboard Taurus.

Day 10 – Depart from Leh
With a bag full of memories and cameras filled up to do story telling for years, you wish not to check out as per your schedule for the flight. Your children will certainly would be in a mood to revolt and settle to check out asking when are we coming back to see Taurus, that’s what all children do.

We totally understand that unforeseen circumstances might need you to change plans, and so our cancellation policy makes it easier to do that.
  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trip — full refund.
  • Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the trip — 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days to the start of the trip — no refund.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions, government restrictions or any other unavoidable circumstances beyond the control of the host, certain activities during the expedition or the event itself may be cancelled, or there could be change in the itinerary. In such cases, the host will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity or a voucher will be handed over (in case of cancellation or rescheduling of event) to you. However no refund will be provided for the same.

In case the trip is cancelled by the host for lack of minimum number of people in the batch, you will get a full refund.
