One of the most famous summits for trekking in the Indian Himalayan region, the Friendship peak. It is located in the Pir Panjal range in Himachal Pradesh and stands tall at 17,348 ft. The trail of this trek passes through beautiful alpine meadows and dense forests and one crosses numerous streams.
Summit offers you Breathtaking views of Himachal Pradesh’s Dhauladhar and Pir Punjal Ranges. Other sights include the high altitude peaks of Mt Hanuman Tibba, Mt Deo Tibba, Mt Shitidahr, and Mt Indrasan. We will also pass the Beas Kund, a magical glacial lake, in itself a popular trekking destination. Easily accessible for the uninitiated, Friendship Peak is the perfect entry into the world of mountaineering.

 

Things to pack:

Day pack, good trekking shoes,sweat proof t shirt, cap , UV rays protected sunglasses, raincoat, extra socks, water bottle,Spoon,Plate,Mug,Lunch box(for pack lunch) torch, cold cream, sunscreen, toilet soap, towel, medicines that you usually use.

 

Friendship peak is a semi-technical summit. There will be crevasses on the way. You must have done atleast one multi-day trek before signing up for this.

Detailed Itinerary

Day#1 Arrive in Manali

Day#2 Manali - Dhundhi (transport) - Raoli thach (trek)

Assemble at Manali bus stop and we will depart for Dhundhi via Solang nalla from where we will begin our trek to the first campsite Raoli thach, Right under Mt. Hanuman Tibba.

Day#3 Raoli thach - Lady leg

We leave for the second campsite after a hearty breakfast. The views will get even better and one can even see glimpses of Mt. Deo tibba and Indrasan.
Early evening on the same day, we will have a short acclimatization walk to the vantage point of Beas kund which would be semi frozen at this time of the year.


Day#4 Load ferry to ABC

Today we load ferry to the advance base camp and have a small training session with the gear and some basic techniques.
We will spend the night in lady leg itself.

Day#5 Lady leg - ABC

After breakfast, we will shift to ABC and call it an early day, eat and sleep early to start the summit bid around midnight

Day#6 ABC - Summit - Lady leg

We start early in the night at 1am, leaving for the summit. It will be a cold, long and an ardous climb through the night into the morning before we reach the summit. After that we will descend straight to lady leg, celebrate and rest for the night.


Day#7 Lady leg - Dhundhi - Manali

Today we head back to the road head where our transport will take us back to Manali.

  • Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the trip — 50% refund.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions, government restrictions or any other unavoidable circumstances beyond the control of the host, certain activities during the expedition or the event itself may be cancelled, or there could be change in the itinerary. In such cases, the host will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity or a voucher will be handed over (in case of cancellation or rescheduling of event) to you. However no refund will be provided for the same.

In case the trip is cancelled by the host for lack of minimum number of people in the batch, you will get a full refund.
