Itinerary


Day 1: Phuntsholing

  • You will be received by our co-ordinator at Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station.
  • We start towards Bhutan border town of Phuntsholing, which is a 2 hour drive.
  • On reaching, check in to the hotel.
  • After freshening up, head out to get a first glimpse of this culturally rich himalayan country.
  • You can visit Zangto Pelri Lhakhang, Crocodile breeding center, or chill in some cafe. Or you can rest in the hotel.
  • Overnight in Phuntsholing. Hotel: Peling Resort/Legphel Hotel or similar

Day 2: Thimphu

  • After an early breakfast head out to the immigration office for getting your permit and bio metrics done.
  • Once the permit is done, we will start our journey towards the capital city of Bhutan. Drive to Thimphu is long but beautiful.
  • After checking in to the hotel in Thimphu, we will head out to explore some beautiful attraction that this city has to offer.
  • We will visit Tashichho Dzong, Takin Preserve, National memorial chorten.
  • Buy some souvenir from colourful thimphu market (Places to visit will be adjusted as per the timings).
  • Thimphu has some really good cafes and a happening nightlife. Spend your evening chilling around.
  • Overnight in Thimphu. Hotel: Om Tara or similar

Day 3: Thimphu

  • Today we will be doing the remaining sightseeing in Thimphu.
  • After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Buddha Dordenma, 51 meters long statue of Lord Buddha.
  • Later we will visit an interactive 'living' museum that gives a good guided introduction to various aspects of Bhutanese traditional life.
  • After Lunch, we will head towards Dochula pass where 108 chortens have been built. It is a mountain pass from where you can get a panoramic view of the Himalayan mountains.
  • Return back to Thimphu.
  • Free time to chill after evening. You can visit local market, farmer's market where you can get all organic products.
  • Overnight in Thimphu. Hotel: Om Tara or similar

Day 4: Paro

  • We will start our drive towards this picturesque town after breakfast at the hotel.
  • On reaching Paro, check in to the hotel. Visit the Paro Dzong and Paro museum.
  • Paro is one of the best Bhutanese towns to explore on foot and is worth an hour or two's stroll at the end of a day of sightseeing.
  • Take proper rest today. Next day we will be hiking to Tiger's nest monastery.
  • Overnight in Paro. Hotel: Lingden Paradise/Hotel Ngayabling or similar

Day 5: Paro

  • Today will be the most exciting day of the trip. We will be hiking to Tiger's Nest or the Taktshang Monastery.
  • The 'Tiger's Nest Monastery' is one of the Himalaya's most incredible sites, perched at a sheer cliff of 10,240 ft above the
    Paro valley.
  • We start the hike early so as to return back to the starting point by noon.
  • After coming back from the trek, we will head for lunch. If someone is interested in river rafting, that can be arranged as
    well.
  • We can visit the Paro archery ground and see a match if its taking place.
  • Tonight will be your last night in Bhutan for this trip. Head to the main street, visit some good cafes, walk by the river, see
    the Paro Dzong glowing.
  • Overnight in Paro. Hotel: Lingden Paradise/Hotel Ngayabling or similar

Day 6: Back to India

  • Bid farewell to this beautiful Himalayan country as we head back to Bagdogra/NJP. The day starts early today as it is a long drive.
  • Trip ends here with lots of memories to cherish

We totally understand that unforeseen circumstances might need you to change plans, and so our cancellation policy makes it easier to do that.
  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trip — full refund.
  • Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the trip — 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days to the start of the trip — no refund.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions, government restrictions or any other unavoidable circumstances beyond the control of the host, certain activities during the expedition or the event itself may be cancelled, or there could be change in the itinerary. In such cases, the host will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity or a voucher will be handed over (in case of cancellation or rescheduling of event) to you. However no refund will be provided for the same.

In case the trip is cancelled by the host for lack of minimum number of people in the batch, you will get a full refund.
