One of the most sought-after circuit in Himachal Pradesh among travellers & photographers, completeing Kinnaur Lahaul Spiti circuit is a once-in-a-lifetime affair for adventure lovers for the reason that the circuit remains closed for most part of the year and opens only for a few days after the snow melts and before the onset of monsoon in the lower altitudes. This is the circuit which covers Kinnaur, Spiti and Lahaul districts of Himachal Pradesh in one go and as you travel from windward side to lee ward side, brings to you the beauty of changing landscape from lush greenery, waterfalls, mountain streams to that of a cold Himalayan desert, the pastel shades of which offer mesmerising views to the eyes of the beholder. Whatever the picture is, it attracts thousands of tourists every year because a journey to Kinnaur-Spiti is an experience that you will cherish all of your life.

A culturally rich region for Buddhists, key highlights of the region include Key monastery, Dhankar Monastery, Tabo Monastery which are some of the oldest monasteries in the world and heritage sites as well. It was the location of the scenery and cinematography in the Indian films like 'Paap', 'Highway' and the very latest 'Kesari'. The still-not-commercialised  virgin beauty of the region is a heaven for landscape, astro & wildlife photographers, cinematographers & documentary makers. The Spitian culture, the tough livelihood of the local meagre populaion who remains cut-off from the northern region for most part of the year due to extreme terrain and climatic condition fascinates us no less.
