Gaurav Kadu - Fiddlecraft

Indie, Pop & Rock

Gaurav Kadu is the frontman, singer and songwriter of the band Fiddlecraft. He has written and composed over 100 songs and has done over 500 gigs. Gaurav recently did an 18 city tour in India and a couple of gigs in London and Edinburgh.

Rolling Stone India calls him the most relatable singer-songwriter of the country who can write and compose in multiple genres of music. Fiddlecraft is also currently working on projects for Amazon and Netflix.

Arjan D Singh

Indie Pop

To Arjan, songwriting is more than just creating melody and words. It needs a meaningful story for it to connect with everyone. And once you get that thought into your head, you start finding meaning in every little thing around you. He has always been an introvert kid from the start. But as time passed, those thoughts became the words for his songs.

The lyrics became greatly influenced by the people around him and the experiences he shared with them. He truly feels that lyrics are the soul of any song and the melody gives those words an aesthetic structure. For him, the song needs to be easy to understand so that the person listening can relate to it very quickly.

Ahen ft. Gurmoh

Punjabi Folk

Ahen Vani Vatish is an artist from Chandigarh, India. He started as a Fashion Designer, however the passion of music overshadowed and he became a full time artist. His songs Lallar Ve, Rabb da Banda and a few others deliver a message to the society and show that music is boundless. 

Gurmoh is a Music Producer hailing from Punjab. He has done music for more than 20 films and has also done background scores for several films. He has worked with punjabi and bollywood singers like Sukhwinder singh, Gurdas mann, Diljit dosanjh, Mika singh etc. Gurmoh recently debuted in bollywood with the film kesari and also got the Mirchi Music Award for it.

Sanjeeta Bhattacharya

Jazz

Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, 24, is a singer-songwriter based in Delhi, India. Before graduating from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Sanjeeta began her journey in music training in Hindustani Classical music and Kathak while also exploring jazz, RnB, flamenco and Latin styles.

She has performed at venues across India, Boston and Spain including Boston Symphony Hall alongside composer A.R. Rahman, music festivals like Panama Jazz, NH7 Weekender, Magnetic Fields and Hornbill Festival. As part of her personal project, she has released two singles, ‘I Will Wait’ and ‘Natsukashii’ as well as her first Hindi/Urdu collaboration titled, ‘Shams’.

Kalyaani

Indie singer-songwriter

Kalyaani's debut album 'Noises in My Head' was launched in January 2018 and was very well received. Named as one of the top 10 artists to watch out for by Rolling Stone India, Kalyaani is a sort of protest musician in her own right. Through her bluesy, gritty tunes, she is constantly fighting her dilemmas and desires. She has to her name a genre-spanning range of collaborations (with everybody from Hindi rockers Daira and hip-hop collective Swadesi to singer-songwriter Vasuda Sharma and even tribal musicians).

She currently curates for House Concert India Mumbai Edition Kalyaani's most recent work within Kappa Tv. Her story has been recognized by Times Now Her Story for her work. Kalyaani is currently working on building a fully functional Studio to represent Independent Music from Himachal and PAN India. She has hosted "Samar Mehdi" in Bir ( Her present Base) after moving from Bombay who is a well-known name in the music industry. She plans to host many more in the near future. She also has started a Podcast to tell stories about the change-makers in creative fields.

Mayabini

Indie pop / Acoustic Pop / Ambient Rock

Mayabini is an Assamese word which means illusive, magical and deceptive. Hailing from Lucknow, based out of Delhi, the band Mayabini is an independent multivocal act with Shakti on the Guitars, Arpit on the Vocals and Guitars, Danish on the Vocals and Bass & Nitin on the percussions.

 

Mayabini was formed in early 2019 with an idea of making interesting original music mostly based on real life experiences, thoughts and their actual take on life.

Danish Jaitly age 23 born and brought up in Delhi, started his musical journey when he was in 8th class. He joined a music school to learn guitar, and gradually went towards singing .

Recently he won a contest and got a chance to record his original song and video via White Coffee Records, he wrote and composed that song 5 years ago when he was in school, the name of the song is Aankh Micholi. Recently he released his original song Jaane Anjaane on zee music company. He loves Bollywood songs, romantic songs and also loves to blend all the genres under one mashup.

Aashran Mahajan

Folk & Pop

Aashran Mahajan is a singer-songwriter and performing artist who hails from Jammu and Kashmir. He is a self taught guitarist. He released his first song “Mehermah” in 2018 at the age of 17. He continues to derive his inspirations from Hindi and Urdu poetry, shayaris and ghazals. His songs imbibe relatable emotions disguised as lyrics.

‘He has performed at various shows in Jammu, Mumbai and Delhi. He has also done backing vocals for the Raghu Dixit Project. Aashran a stunning performer had earlier been part of Aankh Micholi a 5 piece Hard Folk/Fusion Band from Mumbai. He is currently working towards releasing his own album “Nalaayak”.

Mazhab the Band

Soulful Rock

The only religion (Mazhab) capable to unite the world is music. With this thought as the binding force, this five-piece band strums its strings to bring alive Indie Rock beats and they like to call it - Soulful Rock. Mazhab the Band is based out of Gurgaon and has performed in almost 300+ shows across India. These music ninjas are corporate warriors during the day and pursue their musical dreams during the night.

The band released its first original composition last year called “Joonak” which is an Assamese word for moonlight. Covered in the band’s original style of ‘soulful rock’ the song signifies struggles and dark times in everyone’s life to eventually achieve light. The song has garnered a collective reach of more than 50k across band’s social handles. Two new compositions would further be launched in 2019.

Mountain Music Project

Contemporary Himachali Folk

Vivek is a singer songwriter and the founder of mountain music project. He is a trained classical guitarist who took to the call of his homeland (Himachal) and started an effort to revive the old folk melodies of Himachal, giving them a contemporary twist.

Ravi is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Ravishankar is a trained hindustani classical musician who fronts his own band 'ravishankar's dhwani collective' & collaborates with numerous other musicians in various capacities as drummer, percussionist, guitar player etc. He is also a voice over artist and a sound designer with over a decade of experience with radio mirchi delhi and is a firm believer of creating original and experimentative music.

Vikalp Sharma

Indie singer-songwriter

Vikalp Sharma is a composer, vocalist, guitarist hailing from Jaipur. After being inspired by the sound of the 60s and 70s he began writing & producing his own songs. In November 2018 he released his debut album 'A Fragment of Reality'. He brings a unique style by blending various influences and Genres and experimenting with soundscapes.

Vikalp is also the guitarist and co-composer of the art-rock band Daira. He also ventured into sessions and studio production and has sung and played for eminent artists such as Pritam, Adil Prashant & Gaurav Chatterji.

Fakiri

Himachali folk & songs of protest

Fakiri ki toli started its journey from the Himalayas. Coming from the hills, Geetanjali always wanted to promote the music she grew up listening to. From beating school desks to playing multiple instruments, the journey of creative exploration felt complete when she met two corporate kabootars, Siddhant & Anoop. Realising their knack for percussion, they live life beyond 9 to 5 and now perform for their love for music.

The trio performs Himachali Folk & songs of protest (original compositions around social issues) which has Siddhant on the Djembe, Anoop on the Metallophone & Cajon and Geetanjali on Vocals & Djembe.

Atharva Phadke

Atharva has been making music since he was 13 but he made it a career choice at 15. Since then, he has played over 50 shows covering songs and also showcasing his original music.The first song he ever wrote was in 2010 when he was just 13 years old, and it was about a taxicab ride of which he does not particularly remember much but, the first song he ever wrote with an intention of releasing is "All I Need is You" back on October 20th, 2015.

He loves how music can make you feel like someone unlike yourself. It gives you the power to be decisive and in the duration of one song, you come to conclusions about yourself and the world and people around you that you never would otherwise. Music is Power.

From the lush valleys and forests of Himachal, singer-songwriter Jatin Sharma, representing Buland Himalay, a self taught musician, brings to you his rendition of the classic's. With an ever growing passion for music and the guitar, he hopes to produce music that speaks to the people. As an artist who wants to express freedom in his music he doesn't limit himself to just one genre.

Though his debut song 'Mhare parashara' delves into folk, his latest single,' Martbaan' which received incredible praise and love from his viewers, is a delightful song about love at its purest. In his recent all India tour, where he performed various shows, in ten major cities, Jatin with his compelling voice and alluring stage presence, easily won over the hearts of the people, and his take on Shiv tandav soon became a fan favourite.

Jasmeet Singh Bhatia (Jizzy)

Observational comedy

Jasmeet Singh Bhatia (Jizzy) is a popular comedian who has written and performed over 150 comedy sketches and skits over Youtube on channels like TVF and ScreenPatti. He was an integral part of a popular comedy series Bachelors season 1&2 and has acted in two Bollywood movies, OK Jaanu & Secret Superstar. He has also written and recorded a rap track, "Aukaat", with amitabh bachan for movie badla. He is also the lead artist for the popular comedy musical band Dependent Artist.

Jasmeet has been doing stand up for the last 3 years. He does observational comedy with a lens of an uncomplicated Punjabi. He is currently touring with one hour set, Ghanta Nahi Ban Raha. Jasmeet is 26 and lives in Mumbai.

Mohit Morani

Topical comedy

Mohit started doing comedy 3 years back and the only purpose of stand up comedy according to him is to speak the truth and challenge the authority. He tries to make his set as funny as possible but at the same time he chooses topics that are a little difficult to talk about in this country.

He has performed in all the major cities in india and done more than 800 shows. Currently working on his one hour special and the show will be ready soon to be toured across the country.

Ravi Gupta

From the by lanes of Varanasi to the roundabouts of Delhi, Ravi Gupta, a cartoonist, and a stand-up comic has seen it all and loves everything around humor and all that it entails. He is a keen observer of the world around him and finds wit & humor in almost everything he comes across.

He has more than 10 million views on Youtube and is popularly known as the "Shuddh Desi Comic", rightly so for his relatable content, his edgy humor and touchy topics that people relate to very easily in their everyday lives.

Saurabh Pandey

Observational Comedy

After quitting his not so cozy job of an automobile engineer in pune, he decided to deal with the cryptocurrencies and opened a digital marketing startup, only to realise that they both were a bubble. With twelve years of being an immigrant in different cities and measuring its width and length, he is weirdly honest about his observations on everything that happens in our day to day life, in the form of hilarious surreal stories.

He says no to political jokes cause he admits taking money from different political parties in exchange for votes, even when he had no voter ID.

Nati Dance Workshop

Ever heard of Nati? It is the famous folk dance of upper Himachal area. Performed on a particular rhythm and beat, it differs from region to region. The popular forms of Nati are Gaddi Nati, kullu nati, kinnauri Nati, sirmauri Nati and shimla nati. Each form of Nati have unique costume, ornament, song and instrumental music.

If you want to enjoy the traditional functions, marriages and fairs of Himachal during your travel adventures, this workshop is for you!

Musical Doodling Workshop

A 1-1.5 hr workshop that focuses on the theme of mindfulness through a creative channel of doodling. We will start with some ice-breaking sessions so that everyone gets comfortable with each other. Then we will move on to few visualisation exercises where we will stimulate the minds to understand surroundings better, where we will make people listen to music and doodle their interpretations. We will conclude the workshop by focusing on pure doodle exercises where people will draw the most memorable part and take it back as a souvenir.

 

Instructor

Rohit Soni is the founder of the Doodle kit project - which aims to inspire creativity and mindfulness in the everyday life of people. After completing his graduation from NIFT, he did his Masters in Interaction Design from IIT, Mumbai. He is India's first Visual Harvester doing live doodling at various events globally for prominent personalities and fortune 500 companies.

Hatha Yoga Workshop

Meditative Mandala Workshop

She recently took mandala workshops with Zostel, WeWork, Indian Arizans etc and has painted the walls of cafes like BSC in Gurgaon, a homestay called The Blue Sheep Tirthan in Himachal Pradesh and co- working spaces in Delhi. Poetry Workshop

Saumya is a freelance educator, writer, translator and communications consultant. She teaches poetry, literature and communications in various schools and colleges, aside from consulting for pedagogy and content development in the edtech field. She is the Founder of Poets' Collective, an informal platform for sharing poems, stories, music etc. She has a wide and varied experience in hosting, curating and organizing literary and cultural festivals.

Dreamcatcher Workshop

In this workshop we will learn to make a dreamcatcher.

It is believed that the night air is filled with dreams, both good and bad. When hung above the bed in a place where the morning sunlight can hit it, the dream catcher attracts and catches all sorts of dreams and thoughts into its webs. Good dreams pass through and gently slide down the feathers to comfort the sleeper below. Bad dreams, however, are caught up in its protective net and destroyed, burned up in the light of day.

 

Instructor

Priyansha is a full time potter, and a crafter. She crafts quirky baubles since she was young and sell as well she love weaving Dreamcatchers for her loved ones and also guide others through this spiritual and meditative process at her workshops.

BY BUS

  • You can take an overnight bus from Delhi/Chandigarh to Dharamsala (14.5 km from the venue), and from there you can take a Taxi.
  • Local buses from other regions of Himachal will drop you at Dharamsala bus stop (14.5 km away), Yol Cantt Bus Stop (6.5 km away) or Rakkar Bus Stop (9 km away) and from there you can take cab which is easily available. Other nearby bus terminals are Kangra and Palampur.

BY FLIGHT

  • The nearest Airport is in Gaggal, 21.3 km from Unheard Campsite. You can take a cab to campsite from there. Since it’s a small airport, it doesn't have connectivity from all major airports and the flight costs are a little steep.
  • Nearest Major Airport is Chandigarh or Delhi. You can take an overnight bus from there.

BY TRAIN

  • The nearest major railway station is at Pathankot, 85 kilometres away. You can take a bus/cab to Campsite from there.
  • Nearest Major Train Station is Una. You can take local bus or cab from Una to Campsite which will take around 4 hrs to the destination.

Whats allowed and not allowed during the festival?

Please read and understand the following rules and regulations and follow festival etiquette.
These rules and regulations are subject to change without notice. Please note that ticket refunds will not be made for such rule changes regardless of how prior notification is made or lack thereof.

  • The festival will not be cancelled due to inclement weather (excluding natural disasters). Please note that ticket refunds will not be made due to artist cancellation.
  • Please be sure to sort all garbage into the appropriate bins. Please also take any leisure sheets, chairs, tents and other belongings with you when departing the festival area.
  • Unattended items will be deemed abandoned and removed and disposed of immediately. Be sure to carry all of your belongings at all times.
  • Tenting, parasols and other items which may block the view of other festival goers are not permitted within the festival.
  • Unheard, has a strict no-tolerance rule against drugs of any kind. If anyone is found using or peddling drugs, they will be reported to the police.
  • Any dangerous behaviour that may harm other people, such as moshing and diving and throwing things, is prohibited. The festival is not responsible for injuries and accidents due to such acts. Such incidents shall to be solved between the parties involved.
  • Please carry and use foul weather gear during inclement weather.
  • Smoking while walking, smoking in non-smoking areas and in crowds is not permitted. Please always use a portable ashtray when smoking and please use designated cigarette butt ballot bins.
  • People found to have entered the festival illegally will be reported to the police and will be put under the care of local police officials. The person will also be charged for compensation.
  • Please refrain from any behavior that can cause annoyance to local residents.
  • Be sure to acquire transportation and/or lodging yourself before coming to the festival. Please also note that lodging packages are limited.
  • Glass bottles, cans, fireworks, explosives, alcohol and any illegal substances are not allowed into the festival site.
  • The production, the site and the artists are not responsible for accidents and thefts in and out of the festival site.
  • Those who cause any disturbances or do not follow instructions of Crew will be ejected from the festival site. Tickets will not be refunded in this case.
  • Agreement to the festival rules and restrictions is needed to purchase tickets. Please be sure to read and confirm all rules and regulations listed on the official website before purchasing tickets. In such cases, the host will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity or a voucher will be handed over (in case of cancellation or rescheduling of event) to you. However no refund will be provided for the same.

In case the trip is cancelled by the host for lack of minimum number of people in the batch, you will get a full refund.
