Overview

Meghalaya is one of the most beautiful states in India also known as the abode of the clouds! Located in the northeast of our vibrant country, it is rich with cultural heritage and beautiful landscapes. While some people would know Meghalaya only as highest rainfall receiving state, it offers much more for off beat travellers. It is a place that would fuel the imagination of a creative person and probably give rise to masterpieces in literature, art, and music, such indeed is the pristine beauty of this state.

Meghalaya is full of sights and experiences that will leave one awed. We explore several non-touristy and hidden destinations, drive through the thick forests for swim in the fresh waterfalls, travel by local transport or walk, eat local food and stay with local at homestays to get a sight of their culture.This is not a luxury trip for tourists, but exhausting and exhilarating expedition for explorers & travellers at heart.

Itinerary in Brief

Day 00 - Land in Guwahati and reach Shillong by evening. Orientation and briefing. Stay at Shillong
Day 01 - Head to Laitlum - India's Grand Canyon. Post lunch, visit and play around at Wahrashi falls. Stay at Mawlyngot
Day 02 - Urlong tea estate and falls, if time permits. Head to Mawlyngbna. Sunset point and cave exploration. Stay at Mawlyngbna
Day 03 - Trek, swim and dive into the fresh water at natural amusement park. Stay at Mawlyngbna
Day 04 - Early morning departure to Dawki and Darrang. Swimming and exploring the crystal clear waters of umngot river. Camping at Darrang
Day 05 - Early morning Departure from Darrang and head to Nohkalikai falls trek. Get the ultimate views of Sohra forest from the top of Nohkalikai                      waterfalls. Immediately head to Tyrna to climb down to Nongriat village 3000 steps below! Stay at Nongriat
Day 06 - Leisure morning at Nongriat. Head to Rainbow waterfalls and get back before dark. Stay at Nongriat
Day 07 - Climb up again till Tyrna and head back towards Shillong. Shopping at market. Enjoy the last stay at a beautiful house outskirts of Shillong.
Day 08 - Depart from shillong and reach guwahati airport for the flight.

NOTE: This is only a model itinerary, the exact itinerary will not be shared with the participants as there will be impromptu changes to make the tour more exciting.

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the trip — full refund.
  • Cancellation between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the trip — 50% refund.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days to the start of the trip — no refund.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions, government restrictions or any other unavoidable circumstances beyond the control of the host, certain activities during the expedition or the event itself may be cancelled, or there could be change in the itinerary. In such cases, the host will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity or a voucher will be handed over (in case of cancellation or rescheduling of event) to you. However no refund will be provided for the same.

In case the trip is cancelled by the host for lack of minimum number of people in the batch, you will get a full refund.
