PanwaliKantha is situated at 3963m altitude, it is one of the well-known bugyal and one can enjoy the beautiful view of Himalayan Peaks and it is also best for sunset view. The trek passes through open grasslands and undulating slopes studded with thick forests of deodar, pine and rhododendron and an amazing variety of Himalayan wildflowers as well as affording unparalleled panoramic views. In ancient time this trek is used by pilgrim while coming from Gangotri to Kedarnath. This trek can be approached from three sides either from Uttarkashi, TriyugiNaryan or from Ghuttu. This trek provides you with one of the rarest view of the complete range of Yamnotri- Gangotri- Kedarnath- Badrinath mountain peaks. In the route you pass through the seven Bugyals of PanwaliKantha,

PanwaliKantha is a remote trail that’s physically demanding due to its steep uphill climb. Throughout the trail you can experience nature’s bounty. This trek allows backpackers to retire into wilderness and seek time for self-introspection. On the way, you will also witness the harmonious lifestyle still lived in the hamlets tucked away in these magical mountains where you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with some of the nomadic traditions yet untouched by the modern world. 

Itinerary


Day 01- Rishikesh to Ghuttuvillage (Drive 190km)

 

Early morning drive to Ghuttu, a small village and starting point of the trek. En-route we shall also view Tehri Dam and lake. Enroute lunch, explore the village. Upon arrival at Ghuttu check into the Hotel.Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel.

 

Day 02- Ghuttu to PanwaliKantha(Trek 16km)

 

Early morning leave embark on to trek for Panwali. The trek today is very steep. About nine kilometers of steep ascent takes us to Panwali. Preety and Peaceful, the PanwaliBugyals lie at far flung heights, ranging from 2745 meters to 3970 meters. They are open Grasslands and undulating slopes studded with patches of Forests. Arrive and camp in the meadow near a stream, as the entire meadow is full of crystal clear springs. Meals and overnight camp.

 

Day 03- Panwalikantha to Maghuchatti(15km)

 

After breakfast a gradual descending towards Magguchatti. The entire trek is on rocky terrain and is strenuous. Meals and overnight camp at Magguchatti.

 

Day 04- Maghuchatti to Triyugi Narayan (Trek 14km)

 

Post breakfast, we shall trek to Trijuginarayan, which is believed to be the place Lord Shiva and Parvati got married. We shall visit the temple. Meals and overnight stay in the hotel / lodge.

 

Day 05- Triyugi Narayan to Rishikesh(Drive 220km)

 

After an early breakfast drive to Rishikesh. Arrive in rishikesh tour end.

In case of unforeseen weather conditions, government restrictions or any other unavoidable circumstances beyond the control of the host, certain activities during the expedition or the event itself may be cancelled, or there could be change in the itinerary. In such cases, the host will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity or a voucher will be handed over (in case of cancellation or rescheduling of event) to you. However no refund will be provided for the same.

In case the trip is cancelled by the host for lack of minimum number of people in the batch, you will get a full refund.
