The Wagah Border ceremony is jointly performed by the Border Security Force of India and the Pakistani Rangers every day in the evening at 4:15 PM in the winters and 5:15 PM in the summers. The grand ceremony witnesses a crowd of more than 10,000 tourists everyday and thus it is advisable to reach there an hour before the ceremony.
There is a vibe of Patriotism at the venue since the tourists on each side shout patriotic slogans. You can find street artists painting the faces of tourists with flags for very cheap to add to the atmosphere. The personnel from both sides march across the venue looking each other in eyes, stomping ground like a raging bull, and when they stop their march, the legs rise high above their heads. The display is a symbol of the cooperation and brotherhood in between the countries as well as the rivalry that exists between them.
